EMODOR (R&D collaboration)

In this project we conduct research on the relationship between odors and emotions, with the goal of deepening our understanding of the olfactory preference acquisition and organization.

During this project, we developed one of the first scientifically validated self-report measures of emotion responses to odors and scents that is now routinely used in the industry.

EMOSCAN (Tool development)

In this project we investigated the nonverbal features related to emotion expressions in the context of video viewing. The project’s goal is the development of automated software for the detection of emotion responses from facial expressions. Possible application involves the detection of consumers’ affective responses to advertisement.
