Institution : University of Fribourg and Swiss Distance University Institute
After my apprenticeship in industrial management, I completed my bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) in 2019. Currently I am in the second year of my master studies in Clinical and Health Psychology in Fribourg, which I will finish in February 2021.
During my studies, I worked in several positions as assistant and trainee at the Chair of Clinical Child Psychology & Biological Psychology, the Chair of Clinical Psychology & Psychotherapy and the Department of Special Education of the University of Fribourg, reflecting my interest in psychological research. Due to a short engineering background, which I received during one year of medical engineering studies, I became also interested in technical aspects of psychological, scientific work, like online interventions or virtual reality.
In May 2020 I started working as a research assistant for Professor Andrea Samson’s chEERS lab at the University of Fribourg and the Swiss Distance University Institute. As I am interested in affective processes like emotion regulation and reactivity and their relation to mental health and well-being, I am currently working in the PEERSEP study, focusing on positive emotions and the use and efficacy of emotion regulation strategies in social and non-social contexts in individuals with and without developmental or intellectual disabilities.
