I am a doctorate researcher at the University of Sheffield/University of Geneva and I am co-supervised by Dr Elizabeth Milne and Prof Andrea Samson. I am studying trial- to trial variability of cortical oscillation patterns in Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) with the aim to better understand the heterogeneity of the ASC and aid the discovery of endophenotypes, a subset of heritable biological traits indicative of genetic vulnerability to ASC. I am using time-frequency analysis to decompose single- trial EEG signals and I am particularly interested in the relationship between neural variability, in the form of inter- trial coherence and the ASC phenotype.
