Students who have travelled to a risk zone according to the FOPH's list must observe a quarantine period.

Private travel abroad

The UNIGE encourages the members of its community to follow the recommendations of the FOPH.

Before traveling abroad, you are strongly advised to contact the embassies or consulates of your country of destination. In all situations, it is essential that you respect to the letter the rules of hygiene and behavior established by the federal and cantonal health authorities. Members of the UNIGE community must also be aware of the UNIGE Policy governing stays abroad.

UNIGE Information

17 February 2022 - The lifting of the sanitary measures announced by the Federal Council on 16 February marks a full return to normal for the spring 2022 semester, with in person teaching. Wearing a mask is no longer compulsory but remains possible for those who wish to do so. The Covid certificate or the UNIGE negative test certificate are abandoned for all University activities such as access to classrooms and auditoriums, the library and cafeterias, participation in public events, etc. Compliance with barrier measures (hand hygiene, ventilation, and disinfection) remains essential.

3 February 2022 - The teaching of the spring semester 2022 will take place in-person while ensuring the availability of their contents at a distance, in continuity with the previous semester. From 3 February 2022, teleworking is no longer compulsory but recommended.
