Lukas is a PhD student in the group of Prof. Tobias Golling at the Particle Physics Department (DPNC). He is a member of the RODEM project (Robust Deep Density Models for High-Energy Physics and Solar Physics), and a member and qualified author of the ATLAS Collaboration at CERN.

Lukas graduated from the University of Heidelberg, Germany, with a BSc in physics in 2017, and an MSc in physics from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, in 2019 obtaining the Frederikke Lørups Mindelegat. During his MSc, he started working on electron identification in the ATLAS experiment using machine learning, and he continues this work during his PhD. He also works on an analysis in the ATLAS collaboration including top quarks, the heaviest elementary particle in the Standard Model.
