19 October 2016: "Geneva Talks on Foreign Investment in Africa"
The Department of Public International Law and
International Organisation at the University of Geneva in collaboration of the
University of Lausanne organises the Geneva Talks on Foreign Investment in
Africa, which is a series of talks organized twice every year at the
University of Geneva within a project on “Foreign Investment in Africa: Gaining
Development Momentum” financed by the Swiss National Science Foundation.
The purpose of the series is to discuss topical questions related to the legal
promotion and protection of foreign investment in Africa as well as to
contribute to the understanding of the opportunities and challenges related to
the flow of foreign investment from the standpoint of the sustainable
development of the continent.
The next talk is scheduled to take place on
Wednesday, 19 October 2016 from 14h00 to 16h00 in Room M2160 at the
University of Geneva.
The topic will be “The new South African Investment
Law”.
