7-9 July 2011: Conference "Freshwater and International Law: the Multiple Challenges"

Water is the challenge of the 21st century. Water conflicts, access to drinking water, deterioration of water quality, and drought management; all these are issues that feature heavily among the priority topics on the international agenda today. International law provides principles and norms for the sustainable development and protection of this vital resource. The question is: how does law contribute to effective water resources management?

Due to space restrictions, participation in the sessions taking place on Friday and Saturday, July 8-9, 2011 is limited. Please, register by sending an email to christina.leb(at)unige.ch by June 25, 2011.
