Forel of University of Geneva since June 2017. His research focusses on energy efficiency in the built environment and in particular on the energy performance gap in existing, new and renovated buildings.
Stefano obtained his Bachelor title in energy engineering from La Sapienza, University of Rome and he prepared his B.Sc. thesis on the energetic valorization of electric and electronic waste in collaboration with the Italian National Agency for New Technology, Energy and Economic Sustainable Development (ENEA). After having studied in the Environmental department of the Technical University of Valencia in 2015 he completed his M.Sc. in energy engineering with specialization in Renewable Resources at La Sapienza, University of Rome.
His Master diploma project, which he prepared in collaboration with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), dealt with technical and architectural energy strategies for a sustainable building. Following his graduation, Stefano continued to work for EPFL’s Building 2050 research program, where his research focused on Dynamic Simulation Modelling and energy systems of building.
