Call for projects

New digital solutions for data management

Shareable, institutionalisable, innovative

Researchers are invited to submit IT project proposals that aims to facilitate the collection, processing, management, sharing or dissemination of research data. Activities commonly referred as Active Data Management (ADM).

The proposed projects must fall within this theme and lead to a digital solution:

  • shareable - that is useful to several research groups, possibly from different disciplines, and is generic enough to be used by as many researchers as possible.

  • institutionalisable - which aims to become an institutional digital service that complements the offer available at UNIGE, or to extend an existing service.

  • innovative - which stands out for its originality, does not exist within the Geneva research community or is developed according to an innovative approach.

The broad technical scope (development, integration, open source solutions, etc.) and thematic scope of the call for projects is intended to encourage innovation and the expression of needs within the many research fields that make up Geneva’s scientific community. This call for projects is open to all scientific disciplines.

Mission

This call for projects is part of the Digital Infrastructures and Services for Research Programme (PL 12146). It aims to strengthen and develop the offer of institutional digital services supporting research through an active contribution of researchers. The call is expected to lead to suitable and efficient digital solutions that aim to facilitate research work on the one hand, and the valorisation of research on the other.

Funding

A total of CHF 300,000 in funding will be allocated. The number of projects funded is not limited.

There is no need for a contribution; the project can be funded up to 100% through the grant.
