Visa and Residence Permit

If you are not a citizen of the European Union, you may need a visa to enter Switzerland. A residence permit is required for all students.

 Visa - Non-European students

If this is the case, contact the International Affairs Office to request a letter of acceptance and contact the Swiss embassy in your country quickly to begin the visa application process. It can take up to 4 months to obtain a visa

Residence permit - European and non-European students

A residence permit is required for all European and non-European students living in Switzerland.

Information regarding the procedure for acquiring a residence permit will be given at the International Affairs Office Welcome Session.
