Laura Pagel

Laura Pagel joined the Consumer Decision and Sustainable Behavior Lab as a research assistant in December 2019. She is currently working on a research project investigating climate change communication strategies to facilitate behavioural change. This project is undertaken in close cooperation with high-quality video content creators. In the past, she has also contributed to research on peer-to-peer energy trading and behavioural interventions to promote pro-environmental and pro-social behaviours.
Laura received a bachelor in Economics from the University of Montpellier and a Masters Degree in Standardization, Social Regulation and Sustainability from the University of Geneva. She wrote her master thesis on the place of cattle in the Swiss agroecological system, using a qualitative system thinking approach. Her interest lies in exploring and promoting public policies and collective strategies to counteract the ongoing societal crises related to social injustice, climate change and biodiversity extinction. Besides her work at the University of Geneva, she invests time in local citizen initiatives to promote social and environmental change, as well as in reading, gardening, and outdoor sport activities.
