After completing a Bachelor’s degree in Organismal Biology, Ecology, Environment and Ethology at the University of Rennes, Thomas began a Master’s in Behavioural Neuroscience at the University of Caen, which he is currently pursuing.
During his first-year Master’s placement at the Neuropsychology and Human Memory Imaging Laboratory, under the supervision of Mathilde Groussard, he contributed to the A-FACE study examining the impact of age and gender on the evaluation of low-intensity facial expressions.
In 2026, Thomas joined ESClab for his second-year Master’s placement, supervised by Dr Nicolas Burra. Through this project, he investigates the electrophysiological mechanisms underlying visual attention, with a particular focus on the role of the eyes.
His research aims to understand how the availability of ocular information influences spatial attentional selection and the N2pc electrophysiological component, using electroencephalography (EEG).
Following his Master’s degree, Thomas plans to pursue a PhD in Behavioural Neuroscience, with the goal of becoming a researcher.
