Alaïs Védères completed her Bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Toulouse in 2023. Passionate about neuropsychology and health psychology, she is now pursuing a specialized Master's degree at the University of Geneva. In 2023, she joined the ESCLab for her independent research project titled "The Role of Metacognition in Social Cognition: Implications for the Theory of Mind Anosognosia", under the supervision of Dr. Nicolas Burra. This project builds on her Bachelor's research on traumatic brain injuries and explores key topics related to social cognition.
Alongside her studies, Alaïs is completing an internship in neurosurgery at the Geneva University Hospitals, focusing on the prevention of traumatic brain injuries in high-risk sports. This experience combines scientific research and clinical practice, further strengthening her commitment to improving the care of patients with brain injuries.
In 2025, Alaïs plans to undertake a two-month research internship in the neurosurgery department of Prof. Charbel in Chicago. Ultimately, she aspires to pursue a career that combines clinical practice and academic research in neuropsychology, focusing on applied studies of brain pathologies and their impacts on social cognition.
