Electra Maragkaki holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Panteion University (Athens, Greece), a professional Post-Graduate Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy from City University (London, UK), as well as a Master's Degree from the same University. Her Master's dissertation was entitled "Evaluation of the Mediated Learning observation instrument as an adjunct To Dynamic Assessment of Language". She is member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, the Swiss-German Association of Logopedics, as well as the Greek Association of Logopedics.

Since 2015, she is research assistant and member of the MEDASI group. Her areas of interest include dynamic assessment of language and bilingualism. In this field, she has completed a small pilot project with bilingual children that speak german.

Also, she is currently working as english-speaking paediatric speech and language therapist at Institute Polycours and at the International School of Geneva.
