Manik Bhattacharjee is currently maître-assistant in the lab for Multimodal Modelling of Emotion and Feeling, at the Swiss Center for Affective Sciences.

He got a MS in Software Engineering for Decision-Making in 2004 (Institut Mines-Telecom Atlantique, Nantes, France) and an MS in Medical Imaging in 2005 (University Paris 11). He received his PhD degree in Neuroimaging under the supervision of Prof. Didier Dormont and Dr Eric Bardinet in 2009 (University Paris 11).

He worked as a research engineer in Grenoble Neuroscience Institute (INSERM/University of Grenoble Alpes) for 6 years on neuroimaging and neurosurgery software for Deep Brain Stimulation (Parkinson disease, depression, OCD) and epilepsy SEEG.
His current research interests focus on computational modeling of consciousness, brain imaging and experimental psychology using Virtual Reality to inform the development of consciousness models.
