  • This project seeks to understand and quantify the sources and emissions of methane appearing in the oxic surface layer of lakes.

Bubble Flux

  • Title : Lake sediment methane-bubble fluxes inferred from pore water noble gas profiles: A new modeling-measurement approach to reconstruct past and present C fluxes, C budgets and eutrophication
  • Funding : Swiss National Science Foundation
  • 2015 – 2018
  • Determine CH4 bubble fluxes by modeling bubble-mitigated depleted pore water noble gas and stable C isotope profiles, and incorporate these results into the system-wide carbon balance.
