Different types of analyses of sediments and soil offered by the laboratories of the Institute include:

Granulometry by sieving (> 1 mm) and by laser diffraction (Coulter LS-100)
Magnetic susceptibility of sedimentary cores (Bartington susceptibilimeter )
Organic matter
Carbonates
Chemical forms of phosphorus
Analysis of metals traces by ICP-MS
Total mercury and methymercury
Radioisotopes (gamma and alpha: Be-7, Cs-137, Th-234, Pb-210, etc.) - sediment dating
