Research
My research, highly interdisciplinary in nature, is primarily focuses on the prehistoric communities of Europe.
Europe in the third millennium before the Current Era
My research focuses on the analysis of the lifestyles of the populations in third-millennium BC Europe and more particularly on the way, in which the Bell Beaker Culture, a major component of the European Chalcolithic, established.
I develop multidisciplinary research, incorporating data referring to pottery, palaeoanthropology, radiocarbon dating, lithic industry, copper metallurgy and territorial occupation.
The Alps in the Neolithic
The study of settlements – reflecting the organization of the society, choices and constraints with regard to the living places – allows to approach the daily life of women and men during the neolithic and, moreover the diachronic evolution of the societies. I notably develop studies on settlement in Valais, notably through the analysis of the Petit-Chasseur in Sion (Valais, Switzerland) and I construct a general vision of the settlement in the Alps in the course of the Neolithic. These projects are funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and by the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) .
