Career Accelerators

The career of executives will never again be a long quiet river. In addition to the "hard" skills specific to each function, there are three cross-functional skills that are unavoidable in order to move up the ladder:

  1. The ability to maximize the level of team engagement: engaged teams are more successful than unengaged ones. True leaders are those who have engaged followers, regardless of their hierarchical level or the industry in which they are active.
  2. The ability to carry out transformation projects: no business or activity can escape the acceleration of change that challenges the way we operate. Adapting inevitably requires successful transformation projects.
  3. The ability to identify and seize opportunities: taking advantage of constantly emerging opportunities is the best guarantee of sustainability. No need to create start-ups: knowing how to exploit opportunities within existing organizations is an insurance premium to remain relevant in the future.

The objective is simple: to improve executives’ agility and employability.

Acquiring these three skills is the raison d'être of the Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) in Entrepreneurial Leadership, as well as the two Certificates (CAS) that make it a modular approach:

The importance of these three competencies is such that the DAS in Entrepreneurial Leadership is an integral part of the Executive MBA curriculum at the University of Geneva.

Conceived and led by Dr. Raphael H Cohen, a serial entrepreneur turned global expert in innovation and fair & caring leadership, these executive education programs lead participants to challenge many paradigms. The following reflections are a few examples.
