Johanna GERLACH

Johanna Gerlach is a Senior Research Associate (collaboratrice scientifique II) in the Department of Translation Technology (TIM). She is currently involved in the development and evaluation of platforms as part of several projects: PROPICTO (translation into pictographs for medical communication as well as alternative and augmentative communication), RCnum (a semantic and multilingual online edition of the Registers of the Council of Geneva in the time of Calvin), UNI-ACCESS (accessibility of academic websites). Before that, she worked on the BabelDr project, a spoken language translation system for the medical domain. She obtained a PhD in Multilingual Information Processing from the University of Geneva in 2015, in the context of the European ACCEPT project. Johanna also holds a Master's degree in Translation from the FTI and a Diploma in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Bern.
