Julie Humbert-Droz is a postdoc researcher in the terminology team of the Department of Translation Technology. She holds a PhD in Multilingual Information Processing from the University of Geneva and a PhD in Linguistics from the University Toulouse – Jean Jaurès (CLLE, UMR 5263). In 2022, she was granted a Postdoc.Mobility scholarship from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF) to conduct a research stay in France, first at the Université Lumière Lyon 2 (Centre de recherche en linguistique appliquée) and then at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris (CLESTHIA – EA 7345). She then obtains additional funding from the SNF to finish the project started in France. Her research currently focuses on the circulation of endometriosis terms, terminological variation across speech communities, term appropriation by women affected by endometriosis, and media representations of this disease.
