Laura is a professional conference interpreter working on the private and institutional markets in Geneva. She completed her undergraduate and graduate training in translation and interpreting at the University of Geneva and also earned a PhD from the FTI's Interpreting Department. Her research interests include cognitive aspects of multilingual control, language use-induced processing changes as well as language variety selection processes in interpreting. As an assistant and now as a lecturer at the FTI's Interpreting Department, she has been involved in training conference interpreters in the Department's flagship MA program as well as its professional development courses since 2012.
