New article: Advancing Sustainability through Trade Rules

Our colleagues Elena Cima and Makane Moïse Mbengue recently co-authored an article for the European Society of International Law’s “ESIL Reflections” series.

The Article examines a recent U.S. proposal entitled Advancing Sustainability Goals through Trade Rules to Level the Playing Field, which attempts to address the imbalance in the existence and enforcement of fundamental environmental protection standards among the members of the World Trade Organization in an unprecedented way.
