Stockholm Forum on Peace and Development : ‘Promoting Peace in the Age of Compound Risk’

This year's Stockholm Forum on Peace and Development will be held on the theme ‘Promoting Peace in the Age of Compound Risk’.

Co-hosted by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute and the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the event brings together the political, security, technology, health and peacebuilding communities, and places the issue of improved collective action at its centre.

Jörg Balsiger has been invited to join SIPRI expert Signe Eline Kossmann and youth environmental campaigners form Malaysia, Russia, and Sudan to explore the different perspectives and experience of those involved in defending the environment; explore how the nature of activism is shifting in the 21st century, and how policy can adapt to the new risks; and recommend how to create an enabling system for protection of activists and the environment.
