This new initiative initiated by University of Geneva connects academics, professionals and associations working on a wide range of natural and cultural heritage issues. The main purpose is to serve as an informal space and network for exchange on a wide range of heritage issues from multiple perspectives. We are particularly keen to strengthen dialogue between local and international heritage-related institutions and researchers from the wider Geneva area and region.

The Geneva Heritage Lab, hosted by the GEDT, offers an interdisciplinary space for heritage-related research, networking, and teaching. Current collaborative activities:

  • Work with the University of Exeter on decolonial approaches and minority heritage.
  • Collaboration with EPFL on heritage and creativity.
  • Work with visiting researchers: Vira Orlovska (Ukraine), Valeria Mendez (Italy), Feng Sun (China).

Geneva Heritage Talks

These public talks to be kick-started in Fall 2022 held in either French or English aim to offer a space for discussion on a wide range of contemporary issues. They include co-organized events with partner institutions.
