Asset allocation implications of illiquid assets - new article by Tony Berrada, Olivier Scaillet, and Zhicheng Zhang

To what extent can institutional investors benefit from investing in illiquid assets, such as infrastructure, real estate and private equity?

In a new study, GFRI’s professors Tony Berrada and Olivier Scaillet, and our alumnus Dr. Zhicheng Zhang from the Geneva Institute for Wealth Management, show that illiquid asset classes provide sizable gains in terms of performance when added to standard asset classes. They also significantly contribute from a diversification perspective.
