GFRI has been recognised as a world leader in Finance research

The Geneva Finance Research Institute is ranked #2 in Europe and #28 worldwide for research published in the top-tier journals over the last decade.

 

The ranking is based on a new system developed by the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis.

GFRI has been named as one of the most research-productive finance department in the world (2010-2020) and is the second European institution after the London Business School (ranked 14th).

Other European universities in the top 50 ranking for the past decade include The London School of Economics (35th), The University of Oxford (37th), Tilburg University (38th), HEC Paris (39th), INSEAD (42nd), and the University of Lausanne (48th).

This paper showcases a global ranking of business school finance departments over the past 20 years, and over the last decade. The evaluation considers 141 Finance departments around the world based on the publications of their Finance faculty in 21 journals: the six top Finance journals (by 2021 impact factor), ten Economics journals, three Accounting journals, and two general interest journals.
