Workshop on Political Economy of Conflicts and Development
From February 1 to 3, 2018, a workshop on the 'Political Economy of Conflicts and Development will held in Villars (Switzerland). The purpose of this event is to feature research on conflicts and development, both from a theoretical and empirical perspective.
This event funded by the ERC and Swiss National Fund and administrated by the CEPR is organized by GSEM Professor Jérémy Lucchetti, Mathieu Couttenier from the Geneva School of Social Sciences of the University of Geneva, and Dominic Rohner and Mathias Thoenig from the University of Lausanne.
This workshop will give the opportunity to GSEM Professor Giacomo De Giorgi to talk about his paper: “Necessity is the Mother on Inventions: the Emergence of the Reluctant Entrepreneur”. Prof. Jeremy Lucchetti will present his work on “The Information Dividend of Democracy: Impact on Political Stability and Redistribution”.
