Dorothée Baumann-Pauly joins the GSEM

On 1 July 2019, the University of Geneva appointed Dorothée Baumann-Pauly as an Adjunct Professor at the Geneva School of Economics and Management.

Dorothée Baumann-Pauly obtained a PhD (summa cum laude) in Economics at the University of Zurich in 2010. She then became postdoctoral researcher at HEC Lausanne. In 2013, she joined the NYU Stern School of Business where she held the position of Research Director of the Center for Business and Human Rights. In parallel, she teaches corporate social responsibility, business and human rights as well as business ethics at NYU Stern and HEC Lausanne.

Dorothée Baumann-Pauly bridges between academia and practice in her work on business and human rights challenges in the global supply chains in the garment, jewelry and technology sector. The focus of her work lies on identifying business models that allow profits and principles to coexist, impact assessments, and multistakeholder solutions.

At the GSEM, Dorothée Baumann-Pauly will join the Institute of Management and will be the Director of GSEM's Geneva Center for Business and Human Rights, created in 2019 in collaboration with the NYU Stern Center for Business and Human Rights.
