"Conflict and Humanitarian Action" by Gilles Carbonnier (ICRC)

On Tuesday 4 February, the GSEM had the pleasure of welcoming Gilles Carbonnier, vice-president of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for a public conference on conflict and humanitarian action.

This conference, organized as part of the CEPR Research and Policy Network's first workshop on conflict prevention, offered a dialogue between the academic world and practitioners on policies that can promote peace and shared these policy insights with a broad audience.

The conference was followed by a panel discussion with Raphael Gorgeu (Médecins Sans Frontières), Massimo Morelli (University of Bocconi), Ugo Panizza (Graduate Institute Geneva), Dominic Rohner (University of Lausanne) and Joachim Voth (University of Zurich).
