ApéroConnect is a new way of connecting and networking initiated by the University of Geneva Alumni in Economics and Management. Held online, the first event took place on Thursday 6 May.

The GSEM Alumni launched their new "ApéroConnect" program following requests from the alumni for more opportunities for informal moments of exchange.

The inaugural event featured a discussion on "How to network in an e-cocktail party?" facilitated by Nadine Reichenthal, Director of the Entrepreneurship Laboratory and an expert in the art of networking. Participants were encouraged to share authentic and informal conversations with other members through a specially designed experience from an expert in EModeration, Marie Polla. This networking session was held in French, with an English session planned for later.

In addition to the ApéroConnect events, GSEM Alumni arranges “Masterclasses” on relevant topics that are in line with the alumni’s experience and managerial needs, and in March 2021 launched a new series of “Mentoring Sessions”, aimed at supporting students enrolled in the School's Bachelor and Master programs in their professional and personal development, while strengthening the links between current students and the GSEM alumni.

This event brought together more than 20 alumni for a friendly moment of networking, with a cocktail in hand.
