Emmanuel Josserand joins the GSEM as Visiting Professor

The University of Geneva has appointed Emmanuel Josserand as Visiting Professor at the Geneva School of Economics and Management, effective 1 May 2021.

Born in France, Emmanuel Josserand studied at the Paris Dauphine University, where he obtained a doctorate in Economic and Social Sciences in 1998, and where he remained as an Associate Professor before joining the University of Geneva in 2006, within the HEC until 2013. He was appointed as Professor and Co-Director of the Centre for Management and Organisational Studies at the University of Technology Sydney, where he is affiliated in a voluntary capacity. In addition, Emmanuel Josserand is a part-time professor at the Business Science Institute in Luxembourg.

His research focuses on intra-and inter-organizational networks, including in relation to business and social innovation. Prof. Josserand has led numerous applied and fundamental research projects on innovation and innovative networks. He has a practical understanding of innovation, being the co-founder of a start-up based on shared IP with the University of Geneva, Self-Leadership Lab, which successfully operates in Switzerland. He also leads two prestigious Swiss National Science Foundation projects: one on alumni networks and one on social media and innovation.

Prof. Josserand has a strong international publishing track record with over 100 publications, including books and peer-reviewed journals; as well as extensive consulting experience as an independent consultant, and in partnership with several consulting firms in Paris and Geneva.
