It is exciting and motivating to start the Fall semester with the recently announced resumption of in-person learning. After more than a year of online classes, the GSEM is looking forward to being back in the classroom in the presence of its new and returning students.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the School is following the recommendations of the Federal Council, and has put protective measures in place.

An increase in student activity is always a welcome sign that a new semester is upon us, and the Uni Mail campus came alive last week through the events of the University of Geneva’s Welcome Days, and the GSEM Mathematics Preparatory School, which is offered each year to 1st year Bachelor students.

The first week of the academic year features Welcome Sessions for students of the Bachelor in Economics and Management, the Complementary Certificate in Applied Statistics, and the Master Programs. In line with the GSEM’s focus on incorporating ethics, responsibility, and sustainability in its strategy and programs, it will be offering for the first time, the Master of Science in Responsible Management, where students will engage in the fundamental topics of responsible management and sustainable accounting and reporting; with a wide range of electives, including a specialization in sustainable business and human rights.

To strengthen the role the School plays in supporting innovators and entrepreneurs, earlier this year the GSEM launched the Entrepreneurship Laboratory. All students and members of the UNIGE community are welcome to engage with the Center’s activities and submit and evaluate their projects.

University is not a journey students need to take alone. The GSEM Student Services department is available to answer questions and provide resources to ensure GSEM students have an optimal experience. Students are encouraged to regularly check their section on the GSEM website, and to watch the video, which explains the many admin functions of the School. Learners are also invited to connect with the GSEM and its members through the School’s social media channels, on LinkedIn and Facebook.

The GSEM warmly welcomes its new and returning students and looks forward to a successful and enriching academic year.
