Olivier Scaillet named Fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics

Professor Olivier Scaillet has been named Fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS) in recognition of his outstanding research and professional contributions to the field.

Professor Scaillet received the award for contributions to copula modelling, tests of independence, goodness-of-fit testing, weak convergence tools for such inference, and quantitative finance and insurance.

IMS Fellows are assessed by a committee of their peers and have demonstrated distinction in research in statistics or probability or have demonstrated leadership that has profoundly influenced the field.

Established in 1935, the Institute of Mathematical Statistics fosters the development and dissemination of the theory and applications of statistics and probability.
