Diego Kuonen elected President of the Group of Experts of the Data Science Competence Center
Professor Diego Kuonen has been elected President of the Group of Experts of the Data Science Competence Center (DSCC) of the Swiss Confederation in March 2026.
The Data Science Competence Center supports the Swiss public administration (Confederation, cantons and communes) in matters related to data science and artificial intelligence. Established in 2022, its Group of Experts provides external and independent advice on the strategic orientation and development of the DSCC.
In his role as President, Professor Kuonen will contribute to the work of the Group of Experts, in particular with regard to the strategic positioning of the DSCC in Switzerland and at the international level.
Diego Kuonen is Adjunct Professor at the Research Institute for Statistics and Information Science at the GSEM. His areas of expertise include business analytics, big data analytics, data and analytics literacy, data science and artificial intelligence, and statistical engineering.
