Geneva Academics in Management and Economics (GAME)

The Geneva Academics in Management and Economics (GAME) offers a platform to make contact with other PhD candidates, within GSEM and beyond, as well as supporting the organization of events of interest for our community.  GAME promotes disciplinary openness and excellence in research by fostering communication and exchange between the different research institutes comprising the GSEM.

In order to fulfill its purpose, GAME presents several activities and events. Some of our initiatives are:

  •  The “Academic Breakfast”: one of the activities that the GAME association presents regularly. It allows GSEM PhD students and teaching assistants to get together informally to discuss their doctoral projects and issues related to teaching charges and other administrative matters relevant for their academic life. In addition, the Academic Breakfast supports the exchange of knowledge between the faculty different research fields and encourages interdisciplinary work .
  •  The “e-Journal”: GAME is launching its own journal. This electronic platform will provide a space where PhD candidates can share articles on their academic interests, as well as highlight their personal research. Besides reinforcing the exchange of knowledge within the faculty, this website will allow us to reveal our PhD students' research excellence.
  •  The “Social agenda”: since nurturing, as well as creating networks and collaborative exchanges, is part of GAME’s agenda, social gatherings and movie nights are also organized. Past events have not only drwan our PhD students, but also a large share of Geneva’s PhD community.

GAME membership is free and without obligations
