President Donald Trump will announce on May 12 whether the US will renew Iran's Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). In this context of uncertainty, the conference of Professor Jubin Goodarzi (Webster University, Geneva) will be devoted to the consequences of this agreement on Iran's foreign policy in the Middle East. His presentation will focus on the possible implications that denouncing the agreement could have in the region.

Goodarzi is Associate Professor and Deputy Head of the International Relations Department at Webster University Geneva in Switzerland.   He was previously a consultant and political adviser on Middle Eastern affairs for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Geneva.  He has also worked with a number of US and UK research institutes and foundations, including the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, DC, the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House) in London, and the Ford Foundation in New York.
