4EU+: UNIGE takes part in discussions on European joint degrees

The European Commission has selected for funding the "European Degree Label" project, which brings together six European university alliances (Una Europa, 4EU+, CHARM-EU, EC2U, EU-CONEXUS and Unite!) Thanks to its adhesion to 4EU+, the University of Geneva will be able to contribute to the reflections related to the delivery of joint degrees and certificates throughout the European Higher Education Area.

This pilot project, coordinated by Una Europa, is an opportunity to initiate joint work between these six alliances and regional and national authorities in order to test and facilitate the delivery of joint degrees in Europe. The aim is to reduce barriers to the realization of joint study programs and the awarding of the resulting qualifications. This initiative also offers the opportunity to open dialogue and strengthen cooperation between higher education institutions in Europe.

For the University of Geneva, this is one of the rare opportunities to integrate a project under the Erasmus banner since Swiss universities were excluded from this program.
