UNIGE Student Represented 4EU+ at the 2026 European Student Ambassador Forum
From 2 to 4 July, the European Student Ambassador Forum 2026 invited 53 Student Ambassadors at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics, each representing a European University Alliance. The forum provided a unique opportunity for students to exchange ideas and explore how they can help shape the Alliance alongside university staff.
Representing both the University of Geneva and the 4EU+ Alliance, Céline Borga, a Law student and Chair of the 4EU+ Student Committee, showcased the Alliance's student engagement initiatives and was awarded 2nd place.
In the testimonial below, Céline reflects on this inspiring experience and shares what she learned from collaborating with student representatives from across Europe.
"As Chair of the Student Committee, I had the honour of representing the 4EU+ Alliance as an ambassador at EUSAF 2026 in Warsaw, alongside 52 ambassadors from across Europe. My role was to represent my Alliance and to contribute, together with the other ambassadors, to a shared reflection on the European universities Alliances.
The event was particularly rewarding. We attended presentations on ESA, on Erasmus+, and on previous editions of EUSAF.
The workshops, meanwhile, allowed us to engage with concrete scenarios of how an alliance operates, an interactive approach that strengthened our decision-making, listening, and communication skills.
Other sessions addressed the challenges faced by alliances and their members, along with possible solutions.
We also had the opportunity to visit the Warsaw Tower, the tallest tower in Europe.
The poster competition was a particular highlight: our 4EU+ poster was awarded second place, and the discussion that followed, focused on our respective place within our alliances, was a genuinely sincere moment of reflection and exchange.
What I take away most is the value of this type of event for student engagement: it allows us to participate actively rather than passively, and it reaffirms that the student voice truly matters.
Beyond this, I had the opportunity to meet people experiencing alliance life differently from my own, and to learn a great deal from their insights and expertise.
This learning around collaboration and communication was put to the test during an escape game, a wonderful team-building moment with the people I met throughout the event."
