Dr. Copt received his PhD in Statistics, at the University of Geneva, in 2004. Over
the last decade, Dr. Copt has been publishing papers in medical journals and has been keeping his scientific collaborations with some members of the RCS.
After his PhD studies, in 2005-2006, Dr. Copt started his career in the industry, working
for about 6 years at Merck Serono, in the Geneva area. Then, he spent one year working
as senior scientist (in statistics and data analysis) at Philip Morris in Neuchâtel and in
2013 he joined Biosensors International. Currently, his main duties are
related to management and supervision of the biostatistics and data management team.
He also provides expertise in biostatistics and programming to ensure optimal clinical
study design and analysis of clinical trials and registries on medical devices.
Dr. Copt co-teaches the elective course “Survival Analysis” at the GSEM.
