InZone collaborator Jennifer DeBoer wins grant to study women in engineering
DeBoer will run engineering course in Azraq Refugee Camp next year
Jennifer DeBoer, an assistant professor of engineering education at Purdue University, has won a grant to study female engineers in the Muslim world.
DeBoer has taught on the last two editions of InZone’s Geneva Summer Schools: Higher Education in Emergencies Course, and will partner with InZone next year to run a new engineering course in Azraq Refugee Camp.
As part of the International Women Engineers Study, DeBoer will study countries in the Middle East and Northern Africa to determine which factors might lead to a greater prevalence of women in engineering careers.
