Arrival by plane: Zurich (ZRH)

Zurich Airport (IATA-Code: ZRH) is the largest airport in Switzerland and can be reached from many airlines as well as from many places all over the world.

After arriving at Zurich Airport, you should follow the sign for the “train” in order to reach the railway platforms, which are located underneath the airport. You first have to reach Zurich Main Train Station. Timetables to Zurich Main Train Station can be found on the monitors above the platforms. Ticketing machines and ticketing counters can also be found there. You have the possibility of purchasing a ticket to the destination of Locarno.

Trains to Zurich Main Train Station leave about every 10 to 15 minutes and the journey takes about 15 minutes. As soon as you arrive at Zurich Main Train Station, take the connection to Bellinzona (direction Lugano). There you take the train to Locarno.

The entire traveling time from Zurich airport to Locarno is ca. 2 hours 45 minutes.

On the day of arrival, May 20, 2018, there will be a free shuttle bus from the Locarno train station to the Hotel Complex and Conference Center Monte Verità at 01:40 p.m., 02:20 p.m., 03:00 p.m., 03:40 p.m., 04:20 p.m. and 05:00 p.m. (max. 11 persons per trip). The meeting point for the shuttle is on the right side of the train platform in Locarno (see image below).

On the day of departure, May 23, 2018, at 02:00 p.m., 02:40 p.m., 03:20 p.m. and 04:00 p.m. participants will be able to take the shuttle bus to Locarno free of charge.
