Reading Visual Media - 6-8 June 2008

"Reading Visual Media" is a conference of the 3eme cycle and took place on June 6-8, 2008. Its point of departure was the fact that teachers and students of literature often use film and images in their teaching and research, yet many have little or no experience with film or visual studies as such. The conference aimed to address the methodological and theoretical questions that are raised by the interface between literary studies and visual media, especially film (but including photography, video, and other visual art forms).
