    Within the framework of Professor David Spurr's seminar on «Pleasures of the Imagination: Literature and the Arts in the 18th Century» Prof. Dr Christoph Heyl, Goethe Universität, Frankfurt am Main, gave a conference entitled: «Almost Unsufferable to our Ears? Primitivism, Early Romanticism and Eighteenth-Century Perceptions of the Scottish Bagpipes».
