Anastasia Belyaeva is a PhD researcher at the University of Geneva working under the supervision of Prof. Dario Gamboni. Her dissertation project is dedicated to the use of drypoint technique in the second half of the nineteenth century. Having received her MA in Fine and Decorative Art in Sotheby’s Institute of Art, London in 2014, she worked in the State Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg as a Print Room curator, specialising in nineteenth-century French prints. Her research interests include history of printmaking, print connoisseurship, Rembrandt’s prints, poetics of materials and techniques in art, nineteenth- and twentieth-century European art and culture, the Russian avant-garde.
