The intensive French courses are open to everyone from the age of 17.

The digital summer courses take place entirely remotely.

3 week intensive course from 24 July to 11 August 2023 - FULLY BOOKED

Sessions 2+3 : 6 weeks intensive course from 3 July to 11 August 2023

6 weeks offer from 14.11.22 to 11.06.23: CHF 1200.-

 

*Members of the university community (UNIGE, IHEID, HES-GE, HUG): regular students, exchange students, Academic Horizon students, administrative and technical staff, teaching staff).

 

COURSE LEVELS

These courses are open for levels B1 (intermediate) and B2 (advanced intermediate).

2 weeks before the course starts, a link to an online level test will be sent to all registered participants. This test is compulsory and eliminatory.

In the event of non-admission following the entrance test, a refund will be made at a cost of CHF 50.- for administrative fees.

 

PROGRAMME

The Summer Course takes place remotely and can be attended by participants from anywhere in the world.

Two slots have been specially selected for an international audience (EAST / WEST time zones).

Number of participants per group: maximum 12.

 

Choice of timetable:

 - EAST time zone: Monday to Friday from 8.30 a.m. to 12.00 p.m., Geneva time (UTC+2).

 - WEST time zone: Monday to Friday from 18:00 to 21:30, Geneva time (UTC+2).

 

Compulsory courses :

- Language courses: training of the 5 skills (oral and written expression, oral and written comprehension, interaction);

- accompaniment and correction of submitted work.

 

Optional courses :

- grammar and writing ;

- oral and pronunciation;

- academic conferences at the University of Geneva.

 

Number of hours :

60 hours + 1 to 2 hours of independent work per day

 

Certificate of attendance:

To obtain the certificate of attendance, students must attend all courses and meet the requirements of the teacher.

A maximum of 3 absences from classes will be tolerated.
