I am a third-year PhD student in Linguistics at Ca’ Foscari University. I hold a Master in Applied Linguistics from the University of Roma Tre, discussing a thesis on Subjects, topics and the identification of pro: a cross-linguistic analysis (supervisor, Prof. Mara Frascarelli). My research is concerned with comparing the interface (discourse-semantic) properties of topicalized constituents in different languages - with special attention to the licensing of null subjects - also considering their syntactic and distributional properties in a cartographic approach (Rizzi 1997 and subsequent works). The purpose of my research is to explore the possibility of a unified minimalist account of the licensing and interpretation of null arguments.
