Description

In the talk I describe work with ParaSol, a Slavic parallel corpus developed at Bern and Regensburg university.
Taking as point of departure the use of linguistic features in corresponding segments in multiple translations of the same text, the research aims at modeling and pinpointing grammatical and lexical variation across the Slavic standard languages in a bottom-up fashion. I will be reporting work on the use of verbal aspect, reflexive marking, and negative pronouns. -
