Michele Luchetti

Post-doctoral Fellow

My main academic interests are in the philosophy and history of science. My current research, funded by a Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship, investigates the relationship between measurement practices, empirical evidence, and conceptual change in the life sciences, with a specific focus on the epistemological issue of coordination between quantities and measurement procedures. I also work on the relationship between science and values and have an interest in the history of philosophy of science.

In addition to my academic work, I keep developing my training as a theatre practitioner and instructor, and I am currently planning to design theatre laboratories and workshops - aimed at both students and theatre-makers - that take inspiration from the scientific imagery.
