I earned my BA and MA in Classics at the University of Pisa and at the Scuola Normale Superiore. In my MA thesis I focused on the Physics of the eraly Stoa, discussing the two-principles theory and the role of pneuma in cosmology.
I am currently doing my Phd at the University of Torino and my project focuses on the Stoic threads in post-Hellenistic Platonism. In particular, my purpose is to discuss how the notion of cause as it is understood in post-Hellenistic Platonism, thought being presented as a thoroughly Platonic view, is strongly mediated by the early Stoic approach. I would like to explore further how this new conception of cause interacts with the Platonic ideas and with the world soul.
